Port Angeles: Temporary closure of Dream Playground to occur Sunday

PORT ANGELES — The Dream Playground at Erickson Park will be closed temporarily for routine maintenance all day Sunday.

The playground will reopen Monday.

Volunteers are needed to help complete work which was not finished when the playground opened Sept. 15.

Volunteers should report to the playground at 9 a.m. Sunday

Volunteers will work to apply sealant to the wood structure, work on the entry plaza, build picnic tables and trash receptacles and complete some minor cosmetic details.

The playground was built by thousands of community volunteers during a five-day period beginning Sept. 11.
