PORT ANGELES — State Department of Transportation and Lower Elwha Klallam tribal officials will meet Tuesday to discuss a site treatment plan for the $17 million Hood Canal Bridge graving yard.
The plan addresses how items found during a three-week archeological assessment as well as future discoveries would be documented and removed.
The plan will also outline what areas and what type of construction could occur throughout the 22.4-acre site.
Lloyd D. Brown, communication manager for Transportation’s Olympic Region, said the earliest the agreement could be reached is midweek, and could not comment on when construction at the site could resume if an agreement is reached.
