Repairs to a stubborn water main break under Tumwater Truck Route will keep the southbound late closed to all traffic at least this morning, Port Angeles Public Works Director Glenn Cutler said Monday.
The break occurred under the road, which is state Highway 117, south of the Eighth Street bridge Saturday.
Crews had hoped to repair the 8-inch main Monday, but the depth of the break — more than 11 feet — was slowing the work.
U.S. Highway 101 southbound truck traffic is being rerouted on Lincoln Street until the Tumwater Truck Route lane is reopened, possibly by this afternoon.
