PORT ANGELES — The city’s brief water shortage that began late Sunday ended Tuesday afternoon.
City maintenance crews completed the repair of a 24-inch water late Monday night, but residents were asked to continue conserving water until Tuesday afternoon to allow the reservoir to refill.
“They got all the pieces clamped down, and by about 10 p.m., we had the water back on and we were back online,” said Ernie Klimek III, Port Angeles water and sewer superintendent, on Tuesday.
The reservoirs, which can hold up to 17 million gallons of water, were back up to normal levels by about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, he said.
