PORT ANGELES — A late-night fight after last call over the weekend left a 23-year-old Sequim woman with two black eyes and three chipped teeth and landed two U.S. Coast Guard members in Clallam County jail.
Port Angeles Police were called twice early Saturday morning to break up fights outside Delaney’s Other Side Night Club and Sports Bar, 117 E. Front St.
But it was the second go-round, which one of the victims said was an unprovoked attack, that led to the woman’s badly swollen nose, two black eyes and three chipped teeth.
Out of the altercation came accusations from both sides — that some Coast Guard personnel have been bullying locals, and that regulars at the Other Side have made racially tinged slurs about Coast Guard members.
The group of Coast Guard members appeared to be mostly Pacific Islander, according to police reports.
The group of local residents was mostly white.
