QUILCENE — A Port Angeles woman was no longer at Jefferson Healthcare on Saturday following a wreck on Friday on southbound U.S. Highway 101.
Lauraine M. McDonald, 51, was in stable condition late Friday afternoon, a hospital spokeswoman said.
On Saturday, she was no longer listed as patient.
McDonald was issued an infraction for unsafe passing on the left, the State Patrol said.
She was southbound on U.S. Highway 101 at Dutch Lane southwest of Penny Creek Road at 11:30 a.m. Friday when she tried to pass a line of vehicles in the southbound lane, the State Patrol said.
One of the drivers ahead tried to make a left-hand turn.
McDonald made an evasive maneuver, crossing the northbound lane and striking the northbound ditch, the State Patrol said.
Her 2012 Kia Sportage compact SUV was completely destroyed, the State Patrol said.
