PORT TOWNSEND — Cribbage was Frank M. “Skip” Smith’s game and he shared his passion for it with family and friends alike.
Smith, 63, was shot to death Tuesday afternoon at the his business, Smith Services of 10675 Rhody Drive, Port Hadlock.
Friends and family members came to the yard of the towing and recovery company, sharing hugs as sheriff’s detectives made notes about the crime on long, yellow pads of paper.
Smith’s brother, Dick, was one of the people who visited the scene.
“He was known for his sense of humor and his cribbage game,” Dick Smith said of his brother. “I remember sitting around the table playing cribbage with our kids.”
The Smiths had little choice but to learn the game from their father, former Port Townsend Mayor Frank Smith Sr.
