Jefferson County Health Department budget cuts have forced the closure of the Port Hadlock Family Planning Clinic and cutbacks in immunizations.
The clinic in Shively Center closed its doors at the beginning of the year.
But family planning consultations will continue in Port Townsend and Quilcene, Jefferson County Health Director Jean Baldwin said.
The Health Department has also cut back immunizations and discontinued influenza clinics in order to shave $65,000 off its annual budget, Baldwin said.
The county expects to save $10,000 per year by closing the Port Hadlock clinic and $20,000 by discontinuing flu vaccinations and decreasing immunizations, Baldwin said.
