PORT ANGELES — The Port of Port Angeles’ new Web site was unveiled Tuesday afternoon to rave reviews from Port commissioners.
“This is one of the best things we’ve done since you’ve become chairman,” Commissioner John Calhoun told fellow Commissioner Leonard Beil.
“We’ve taken a giant step forward in public information,” Beil replied.
The new Web site, www.portofpa.com, was launched Friday of last week, said Michael Quinn, owner of Web Affinity Solutions. It cost the Port $26,000 including the six-month maintenance contract, he said.
It is comparable to any other Port’s Web site, including the Port of Seattle, Quinn said.
Affinity Web Solutions will host, design and maintain the new Web site. MerrillCom Communications, owned and operated by Cher Merrill of Port Angeles, produced its content.
