FORKS — A permanent West End motor sports park could be on the horizon if a feasibility study being sought by the Port of Port Angeles says it’s a good idea.
Consultants who want to conduct the study have until April 4 to get their proposals into the port, said Port Executive Director Bob McChesney.
Port and city of Forks staff will review the proposals and decide what to do next, he said.
The study will look at developing a motor sports park in or around the city of Forks.
It will assess the minimum property, infrastructure and amenities needed, as well as identify potential locations.
It also will provide an initial business model to determine if a motor sports park’s operations would be self-sustaining.
