Port of Port Angeles top executive gets retroactive 5 percent pay raise

PORT ANGELES — Port of Port Angeles commissioners unanimously voted this morning to grant a 5 percent raise to Executive Director Jeff Robb along with the renewal of his contract.

Robb, the former airports/marina manager who was elevated to the top staff position in August 2009, will now be making $120,750, instead of the $115,000 per year salary he was given when hired.

The raise will be retroactive to August of this year.

Port Commissioner Jim McEntire, the Republican candidate for state House of Representatives for the 24th District, Position 2, made the motion to give Robb the raise.

The motion was seconded by Commissioner John Calhoun.

No other terms of Robb’s contract were changed in the one-year renewal.

“When he was hired Jeff was a new executive director, and in his first contract his salary might have been slightly below the norm for ports of this size,” Calhoun said while seconding the motion.

“He has demonstrated his capabilities and has pleased this commissioner.”
