PORT TOWNSEND — A San Jose, Calif., businessman is finalizing plans to relocate his Victorian hardware business to Port Townsend, a move that could bring up to 25 jobs to the city.
Kenneth Kelly plans to build a 20,000-square-foot distribution center near the Jefferson Transit complex on Sims Way. The distribution center could open by next April.
Kelly could not be reached for comment on the proposal Thursday.
Kelly has filed an application to rezone more than one block on Hendricks Street to commercial. A final city decision is due by November.
