PORT TOWNSEND — The man accused of killing his former farther-in-law in Port Hadlock at the end of April is scheduled to begin Oct. 27.
Sorensen is charged with four felonies, including first-degree murder, related to the April 29 shooting death of Port Hadlock tow truck operator Frank M. “Skip” Smith Jr.
Sorensen is also charged with first-degree kidnapping and two counts of second-degree assault.
On Monday, Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney Juelie Dalzell amended each charge to include two firearm enhancements.
The change adds 15 years to the maximum possible sentence Sorensen faces if found guilty.
