Community television station PTTV launched live broadcasts of weekly Port Townsend City Council meetings Monday via public access Channel 48 on Millennium Cable.
The show will continue on a weekly basis, following the council’s schedule.
PTTV General Manager Gary Lemons credited the council, City Manager David Timmons and Millennium Cable for making live broadcasts possible.
On average about 180 households tune in to watch council meetings, Lemons estimated.
The station, which features diverse community shows about local and national politics, religion and lifestyle topics, arts and other issues, feeds to about 1,800 hook-ups in Port Townsend, and hundreds more outside the city limit.
