PORT TOWNSEND — Although the new City Council outlined its top priorities for the coming year during a retreat Saturday, many of the individual members’ goals were left on the back burner.
The council pared down its wish list during the retreat, identifying its top priorities as seeking a grant writer, establishing baseline data for this year’s comprehensive plan update and resolving water supply issues with Port Townsend Paper Corp.
But many other goals and priorities remain for future discussion, such as a proposal to develop public-private partnerships for infrastructure development proposed by Councilwoman Michelle Sandoval.
That item, as well as other proposals, will likely be discussed later.
Council members also shifted many items to a list of proposed citizens’ advisory committees and other items to a “watch list” for ongoing issues.
