PORT TOWNSEND — The City Council will convene in a special session this evening to take public comment on a proposed 20,000-square-foot distribution center just off Sims Way.
Kenneth Kelly of San Jose, Calif., wants to erect the building to house three companies to sell and ship Victorian-style hardware.
The property borders residential areas on Hancock and Third streets.
Some residents from those streets have opposed the development, saying the operation would generate too much traffic in their neighborhood.
The City Council meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in City Hall, 540 Water St.
