PORT TOWNSEND — The past has met the present this weekend as riffraff, sailors, statesmen and women in elegant evening gowns wander the streets of Port Townsend.
The Jefferson County Historical Society has put together programs highlighting the Victorian era in Port Townsend and the Pacific Northwest, but half the fun can be found on the streets.
The Eighth Annual Victorian Festival continues today with tours of the city’s historic buildings, activities for children and a whodunit for amateur sleuths.
The festivities start at 10 a.m. throughout the city.
The History’s Mysteries game involving actors on the streets will conclude at 1 p.m. in the council chambers of City Hall, 540 Water St.
Event tickets and information is available at the festival office in the Pope Marine Park Building, 100 Madison St., next to the police station.
