PORT TOWNSEND — A business seriously damaged in the McCurdy building fire earlier this month is set to reopen Saturday.
The Sandcastle children’s store at 840 Water St. will reopen this weekend following water and smoke damage repairs completed this week, said Coila Sheard, store and McCurdy building owner.
Sheard said damages from the fire could total $250,000, though she has not yet received insurance estimates.
Sheard said Sandcastle’s entire inventory — worth almost $38,000 — was not able to be sold after the fire because of smoke damage.
While Sandcastle is ready to reopen, at least two other businesses will remain closed.
