PORT TOWNSEND — A 76-year old Port Townsend man was taken to Jefferson Healthcare after his bicycle collided with a pickup truck.
The wreck was at about 4:20 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Monroe and Washington streets in Port Townsend, according to Bill Beezley, spokesman for East Jefferson Fire-Rescue, which does not name people it takes to a hospital because of privacy concerns.
Hospitals do not release statements of patients’ conditions without names. No information about the investigation was available from the Port Townsend Police Department as of Saturday.
Beezley said the bicyclist’s injuries were not believed to be serious.
He added that neither of the two occupants of the pickup, a couple visiting from Montana, was injured.
