POULSBO — A Port Townsend man was injured but not hospitalized after the pickup truck he was driving was hit by another truck and rolled about a mile north of Poulsbo last week.
David C. Harrison, 66, was headed south on state Highway 3 in a 2003 Yellow Dodge Ram near Thompson Road north of Poulsbo at about 4 p.m. Thursday when Joshua A. Tapasa, 19, of Spanaway, who was headed north on Highway 3, fell asleep and crossed the centerline, the State Patrol said.
Tapasa’s 2006 white Dodge Dakota pickup truck hit the yellow pickup head-on, the State Patrol said.
Harrison’s truck rolled.
Charges are pending, the State Patrol said.
Harrison was treated by emergency crews at the scene, the State Patrol said, while Tapasa was taken to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton.
Tapasa had been treated and discharged as of Friday, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
Both trucks were destroyed, the State Patrol said, adding that both drivers were wearing seat belts.
