Port Townsend: Memorial for Judge Majhan on Jan. 31

A public memorial service for Jefferson County Superior Court Judge Thomas J. Majhan will take place Jan. 31.

Majhan, 66, died of cancer Sunday in Bremerton after undergoing chemotherapy at Harrison Memorial Hospital.

The memorial will be at the Fort Worden State Park Commons from 2 to 6 p.m.

Majhan was elected to the post in 2000. Before that, he served 16 years as District Court judge.

A Vietnam veteran, he lived in Port Townsend for the past 26 years.
