PORT TOWNSEND — Idaho detectives are investigating two more men who allegedly robbed a local woman, stabbed her and left her for dead on a rural stretch of interstate near Caldwell, Idaho, in June 2000.
Canyon County, Idaho, Prosecuting Attorney Dave Young on Thursday said he expects to name the men Monday in connection with the June 15, 2000, attack on Port Townsend resident Linda LeBrane, then 52.
Officials are seeking information that might lead to the arrest of a female suspect in the attack, Canyon County Sheriff George Nourse said Thursday.
One of the four people allegedly involved in the assault was indicted Wednesday and is being held on a $1 million bond in the Canyon County jail.
Kenneth Wurdemann, 33, was brought to Canyon County from Rock Hill, S.C., last week as a prime suspect in the case, Nourse said.
