Robert Froehlich will have his day in court two months later than originally scheduled.
Froehlich, 29, faces a second-degree murder charge for the 1992 stabbing death of Allison Tornensis of Quilcene, 15 at the time of her death.
Jefferson County Superior Court Judge Tom Majhan granted a motion Friday in Port Townsend to delay the trial until Jan. 7 to give Froehlich time to review documents he received last week.
The matter was set to go to trial Nov. 26.
Majhan said he would not reconsider an earlier motion by Froehlich to remove his lawyer, Gerald Barnhart of Port Townsend.
