PORT TOWNSEND — The four new City Council members have already organized a council retreat in their enthusiasm to assume office.
But continuing council members question whether the slate’s approach is an omen of how new members will communicate with them and city staff.
Freida Fenn, Kees Kolff and Michelle Sandoval late last month proposed a retreat for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 12.
Catharine Robinson was the fourth council member to approve of the retreat.
Fenn later provided the retreat agenda to the remaining three council members — Mayor Geoff Masci, Alan Youse and Joe Finnie — and City Manager David Timmons.
Masci disapproves of the retreat decision.
