PORT TOWNSEND — Faced with the possibility that Kenneth Kelly will take his Victorian businesses elsewhere, city officials are tuning into future economic development opportunities.
But making the area attractive to business people like Kelly looking to move to the city may not come cheap.
Kelly had sought rezoning 1.5 acres of surplus Jefferson Transit land off West Sims Way from public infrastructure to commercial “C-2” to allow him to build a 20,000-square-foot distribution center.
The council turned him down Monday.
