PORT TOWNSEND — The Police Department is putting on a bit of a new face, and the public will get to see it close up.
The department will host an open house Monday between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the police station, 607 Water St.
Chief among the new look are two repainted cruisers.
The two patrol cars have been decked out in a white and midnight blue design, and more cars are scheduled to get the paint job, Chief Kristen Anderson said.
Making a comeback appearance at the open house will be “Officer” Bob Wire, the department’s traffic control dummy.
