PORT TOWNSEND — A dozen civic and business leaders will assume a disability next Wednesday to help them understand the hardships of the handicapped.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the participants will follow a schedule to see what performing everyday tasks is like when hindered by blindness, deafness, amputation or maneuvering a walker or wheelchair.
Several scenarios are being created to put the participants on the spot.
