PORT TOWNSEND — Robert Stoner of Quilcene faces a minimum of 25 years in prison following his conviction Friday for first-degree murder in the shooting death of Douglas McFarland of Quilcence.
A 12-member jury deliberated less than three hours before convicting the 55-year-old Stoner.
Jurors decided Stoner killed McFarland with a rifle Oct. 2, 2000, following a drunken altercation about a broken ashtray.
