PORT TOWNSEND — When Maxwell’s Brewery and Pub reopens Thursday, owner Chris Sudlow will owe his family big-time.
That’s because they helped Sudlow renovate the former Town Tavern, located at Water and Quincy streets, over the past month.
Sudlow’s brother, sister, father, wife, grandmother-in-law and father-in-law have all pitched in to expand the eatery named after Sudlow’s 5-year-old son.
The family took the gutted former tavern and transformed it into a stylish business with two ornate wooden bars from the late 1800s, a new wood floor and fixtures.
