Port Townsend School District releases 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 calendars

PORT TOWNSEND — Sept. 3 will be the first day of school for Port Townsend students in the 2019-2020 school year.

The Port Townsend School District has released its calendars for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years.

The district also announced that schools would open 15 minutes later next year to help align secondary school schedules with research that indicates that adolescent brains work better when schools start at 8:30 a.m. or later.
