Ferry service between Port Townsend and Keystone was suspended Saturday after the Klickitat damaged part of the Keystone dock while trying to navigate high winds and rough seas.
The ferry knocked loose a mooring dolphin — a wooden structure used to guide boats into the dock and secure them — as it was arriving at the Keystone dock Saturday about 10:30 a.m., Washington State Ferries spokeswoman Susan Harris-Huether said.
After the incident, ferry service between Port Townsend and Whidbey Island remained suspended Saturday night because of strong winds and rough Admiralty Inlet waters.
