Idaho authorities have made two more arrests in the robbery of a Port Townsend woman who was stabbed and left for dead on a rural stretch of highway nearly two years ago.
John David Wurdemann, 31, of Rock Hill, S.C., the younger brother of a man already charged in the case, was arrested late Tuesday in connection with the June 2000 attack on Linda LeBrane.
Jeremy Flores Sanchez, 26, of Caldwell, Idaho, was also arrested by authorities.
Both men were already being held in jails in Idaho on unrelated charges. Both face robbery, first-degree arson, aggravated battery and first-degree kidnapping charge in the beating case.
“It’s a real relief basically,” said LeBrane, 53, who spent nearly three weeks in hospitals and more than a year in physical therapy following the brutal attack.
“I’m pretty impressed with Canyon County (Idaho) Sheriff’s Department and the job they’ve done,” she said.
