OLYMPIA — Amy Howard, Port Townsend’s deputy mayor, has been appointed to the Association of Washington Cities’ board of directors.
Howard has served on the Port Townsend city council since 2016.
The board is composed of 23 members who are mayors or council members from Washington cities and towns as well as the president and past president of the Washington City/County Management Association.
Howard will represent the association’s District 12 which includes 21 the cities in Clallam, Grays Harbor, Jefferson, Kitsap, Mason, Pacific and Wahkiakum counties.
The association is a private, nonprofit organization formed in 1933 that represents Washington’s cities and towns before the state legislature, the state executive branch and with regulatory agencies.
