MoveOn. org has issued a national call for people to protest at 5 p.m. today (Tuesday) a leaked U.S. Supreme Court opinion overturning Roe v. Wade.
Locally, the Peninsula Daily News has been told protests are expected at 5 p.m. at the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles, and at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
According to an initial draft majority opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito, the Supreme Court has voted to strike down the landmark Roe v. Wade decision.
The decision, which is not final now, was circulated inside the court and obtained by news outlet Politico late Monday.
