CHIMACUM – Those who have gone winter days without electricity in the Tri-Area and Port Ludlow areas will soon have more reliable power service, Puget Sound Energy officials say.
The Bellevue-based utility company serving most of East Jefferson County and much of the Puget Sound area is proposing a $5 million substation in Chimacum.
“Essentially, this is needed for reliability,” said Gretchen Aliabadi, Puget Sound Energy spokesperson.
