SEATTLE — Will Purser received the Spence Vanderlinden Public Official Award during the American Public Power Association’s National Conference.
The award recognizes elected or appointed local officials who have contributed to the association’s goals.
Purser was a commissioner with Clallam County Public Utility District #1 from 2001 through 2022.
He also served on the board of directors of Energy Northwest from 2008 through 2022 where he was elected to its executive board in 2010, elected vice chair in 2018 and chair in 2022.
The association is composed of approximately 1,400 public utility companies and more than 100 joint action agencies and state or regional associations.
