Quality Food Centers is recalling some containers of broccoli raisin salad sold Saturday because they may contain walnuts not listed on the label.
The supermarket chain says people who are allergic to walnuts could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they eat the salad, which was sold in deli departments of some Washington and Oregon stores.
QFC didn’t designate which stores. The company operates North Olympic Peninsula supermarkets in Port Hadlock, Port Townsend and Sequim.
QFC says the salad was only sold on Saturday. It says there is no safety issue for people not allergic to walnuts.
QFC is telling people who may have bought the salad to return it to stores for a refund or replacement.
More information on the recall is at 800-632-6900 and www.qfc.com/recalls.
