PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Fair has announced its 2025 royalty court.
Queen Aliya Gillett and princesses Julianna Getzin and Keira Headrick will represent the fair at the Sequim Irrigation Festival, Port Townsend Rhododendron Festival and Forks and Port Angeles Fourth of July parades, Joyce Daze and Olympic Medical Center’s Duck Derby.
The court was crowned on Saturday.
Gillett, 17, is a senior at Forks High School and a Running Start student at Peninsula College.
She participates in drama club, cheerleading, track and field and soccer. She is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, Peninsula College’s National Honor Society and student council at the college.
Gillett is the daughter of Craig and Tracy Gillett.
Her sponsors are Triple S. Contracting, Evergreen 76 Food Mart and Subway, Forks Elks Lodge, Forks Outfitters and D.A. Brown Trucking.
Gillett has been accepted at Central Washington University, where she plans to earn a master’s degree with the goal of becoming a high school math teacher.
Her platform is Ginger’s Closet, a thrift store and clothing bank in Forks.
Gillett was a 2024 fair princess.
Getzin is a 16-year-old junior at Port Angeles High School, where she competes on the varsity tennis and bowling teams and participates in the marine biology club, Key Club, Health Occupation Students of America and orchestra. She plays viola in the Sequim Community Orchestra and enjoys learning Norwegian language and culture.
She would like to attend Johns Hopkins University or the University of Washington to earn a master’s degree with the goal of attending medical school and becoming a family physician.
Her sponsors are Fog Horn Olive Oil, Odyssey Bookshop and Grocery Outlet of Port Angeles.
Getzin is the daughter of Wendy Clark-Getzin and Daniel Getzin, and her platform is raising cancer awareness.
Headrick, 15, is a freshman at Port Angeles High School, where she plays basketball and volleyball. She also competes in the North Olympic Baseball and Softball Softball league, and she volunteers with the Forged Works of Mercy youth group at St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Sequim.
Her sponsors are The Lodge at Sherwood Village, A.P.S. Electrical Contractor, Sarah Forshaw of Coldwell Banker Uptown Realty, The Coffee Cottage, J. David Kirner of Johnson Creek Veterinary Services and Ruddell Auto Mall.
She is the daughter of Scott and Stephanie Headrick.
Headrick would like to earn degrees in criminal justice and mathematics.
Her platform is the Clallam County Child Advocate Program.
The Clallam County Fair will run from Aug. 14-17. This year’s theme is “Bee-lieve in the Magic of the Fair.”
