ROYAL CITY — A Quilcene man was killed and one of his son airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle early Thursday morning following a rollover crash nine miles east of this Eastern Washington town.
Another son in the vehicle was treated and released from a nearby hospital.
According to the Washington State Patrol, a Chevrolet Suburban driven by Patrick A. French, 16, of Quilcene, was eastbound on state Highway 26 about 26 miles east of the Columbia River at about 2:20 a.m.
The Suburban drifted to the left, departed the roadway and overturned, ejecting the two passengers, a State Patrol report said.
Passenger Michael D. French, 42, of Quilcene, was fatally injured in the crash.
He was transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake, where he died shortly before 4 a.m.
