QUILCENE — Then there was one — who will remain nameless for now.
Quilcene School Board members narrowed down their selection of a new school administrator to one person Tuesday.
But school officials aren’t saying who the new administrator will be until the candidate accepts the position, board member Shona Davis said Wednesday.
They also said they don’t know how much the school administrator will be paid.
Salary for the position will be negotiable and determined in part by how much money is allocated to the district in the state legislature, school board member Lorna Ward said.
The board’s choice for a new school administrator was made in an executive session following Tuesday night’s meeting.
Officials hope to announce who will fill the position by early next week, Ward said.
