Pack up a picnic dinner, grab your lawn chair or a blanket — and don’t forget your sunglasses — and head to family-friendly outdoor community concerts in Jefferson and Clallam counties this week.
Here’s the schedule:
PORT ANGELES
WEDNESDAY, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. — Deadwood Revival (bluegrass), a Port Angeles favorite.
Free. This is part of the Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Concert on the Pier series.
Concerts are every Wednesday through Sept. 8 at City Pier.
Vendors sell food.
City Pier is a no-smoking, alcohol-free environment.
Some chairs are available for the disabled and early arrivals.
Next free Concert on the Pier, on Aug. 4: Kevin Lee Magner and Bound to Happen (rock ‘n’ roll).
FRIDAY, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. — Music on the Meadow concert by Kory Nagler and The Good Boys at Ennis Arbor Farm (entry is across from Peninsula Golf Course, 824 S. Lindberg Road, where you can park).
This is a fundraiser for the North Olympic Land Trust, and there’s a $10 admission charge (or you can buy the $20 special package which will also get you the Streamfest Smorgsbord dining package at the Aug. 29 Streamfest environmental festival).

SEQUIM
TUESDAY, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. — Stardust Big Band (big band and swing).
Free. This is part of the city of Sequim’s Music and a Movie in the Park series every Tuesday at the outdoor James Center for the Performing Arts amphitheater at 563 N. Rhodefer Road, next to Carrie Blake Park.
Next free Music in the Park concert, on Aug. 3: Locust Street Taxi (horn-driven eclectic rock) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (one hour later than usual), followed by a movie, the family comedy, “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.”
PORT TOWNSEND
THURSDAY, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. — Deadwood Revival (bluegrass).
Free. This is part of the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce’s summer Concert on the Dock series every Thursday through Sept. 2 at the end of Water Street across from the Northwest Maritime Center (431 Water St.).
Next free Concert on the Dock, Aug. 5: May Palmer (“The Queen of Ivory Soul”; jazz, blues, gospel and R&B).
MARROWSTONE ISLAND
SATURDAY, 7 p.m. to about 9 p.m. — Hardtack and Honey (old time music).
The concert is in Battery Bankhead at Fort Flagler State Park at the end of Marrowstone Island.
Admission: Free, but $5 donation appreciated.
