SEQUIM — A two-year-old Yorkshire terrier helped students at Sequim’s two elementary schools in the days following last year’s terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
Bucky is owned by elementary arts specialist Yvonne Pepin-Wakefield and is certified as a therapy dog.
About three days a week, he accompanied Pepin-Wakefield to school where he serves as an “icebreaker” for new students and a comfort to children with problems.
When the terrorists attacked, Bucky took on a new role.
