FORKS — The University of Washington has hired Courtney Bobsin as a research scientist at the Olympic Natural Resource Center in Forks.
Bobsin, a doctoral candidate, has a Master of Science in environmental and forest science from the University of Washington.
In her new position, Bobsin will lead several research projects including a 20,000-acre watershed experiment in the Department of Natural Resources’ Olympic Experimental State Forest, a long-term ecosystem productivity study near Sappho, and an ethnoforestry field trial between Forks and La Push.
