PORT ANGELES — Corrections Deputy Chuck Henke has retired from the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office after 31 years of service.
Henke was awarded the Sheriff’s Star by Clallam County Sheriff Bill Benedict during a presentation at the Clallam County commissioners’ meeting Tuesday.
Henke was described as “an invaluable member of the Sheriff’s Office who made numerous contributions and improvements to the operation of the Sheriff’s Office, including the Electronic Home Monitoring Program and Chain Gang Program.
“He also performed exceptionally in virtually all aspects of the corrections profession during his years of service,” Benedict said.
“Henke has been a faithful and dedicated public servant for over 31 years, and our community has benefited from his service.”
