PORT TOWNSEND — The 2003 Rhododendron Festival queen and court, senior king and queen, and six junior royalty members will be crowned March 22 at Wheeler Theater.
This is the first time senior royalty has been a part of the queen’s coronation, director Sharrei Morgan said Tuesday.
Al and Maxine LeFleur will represent the Port Townsend Senior Citizen Association as this year’s senior king and queen.
They join Quilcene High School senior Amanda Groody, who was chosen 2003 Rhododendron Festival queen in January, after there were no other applicants.
She will be attended this year by middle school students Victoria Gibson, Megan Mason and Ashley Smiley.
