PORT ANGELES — Contractors working for the state Department of Transportation will be installing permanent markings on Marine Drive in Port Angeles from 8 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Drivers can expect the closure of the eastbound lane of Marine Drive between Second and Valley streets with a marked detour, according to a WSDOT press release.
There will be alternating, single-lane traffic on Front Street between Oak and Valley streets.
There will also be alternating single-lane traffic at the intersection of Marine Drive and state Highway 117 (the Tumwater Truck Route.)
There will be no access to the truck route from Marine Drive during the work, WSDOT said.
Pavement marking is weather-dependent and could be rescheduled.
