PORT ANGELES — Rural Development Initiatives will offer its Rural Community Leadership Program in Clallam County beginning in October.
The free, skills-based program will help attendees strengthen their leadership skills and explore ways to support the community.
The program includes four in-person intensive workshops, two virtual skills training sessions with peer mentoring, community engagement and investments and ongoing coaching and peer mentoring.
The program, which includes tuition, meals and materials, is presented in English although support for Spanish-language speakers is available.
Separate classes will be conducted in Port Angeles and in Forks.
The Port Angeles sessions are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 4, Nov. 7, Dec. 6; Jan. 10, Feb. 7 and March 7.
The Forks sessions run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 5, Nov. 8, Dec. 7, Jan. 11, Feb. 8 and March 8.
All sessions are in-person and lunch is provided; participants are requested to commit to the entire class schedule.
