PORT ANGELES — Flights between Port Angeles and Seattle were filled to a little more than half their capacity during San Juan Airlines’ inaugural day Wednesday.
The Renton-based airline started flights from William R. Fairchild International Airport after Horizon Air ended service on Tuesday.
The flights to Seattle land at Boeing Field and passengers are bused to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to make connections on other airlines.
San Juan Airlines’ President Clyde Carlson said four round trips on the nine-passenger airplanes were filled to 58 percent capacity.
“That’s pretty good, especially given the weather and that it’s the first day,” Carlson said.
Carlson didn’t have information about the fifth round trip of the day.
