Advisory today from the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office:
There is a new scam involving a person claiming to be from Olympic Memorial Hospital [in Port Angeles] trying to sell Lifeline subscriptions and new equipment.
These calls are not authorized by OMH/Olympic Medical Center or Olympic Medical Home Health and are not legitimate.
Never give out your personal information over the phone and if you receive an unsolicited offer or request for your information over the phone, immediately hang up!
There are several recurring phone scams that occur throughout the year and hanging up on the caller is the safest and most effective way to prevent becoming a victim of these scams.
