SEQUIM — Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center commissioners got their wish — “SARC” will appear in the ballot title for a replacement maintenance and operations levy on the Nov. 5 general election ballot.
The ballot title change should end voters’ confusion over the levy, aquatic center commissioners said.
The maintenance and operations levy, which partially funds operation of the North Fifth Avenue recreation facility, was soundly defeated in the Sept. 17 primary election, receiving less than a 50 percent “yes” vote.
